AAA: Creating Relationships as Key to a Successful Holistic Nutrition Practice with Michelle Dwyer (MHNE Graduate 2013)

When building a holistic nutrition practice, connections are invaluable.  One of the keys to Hawthorn graduate Michelle’s Dwyer’s practice as a holistic nutrition practitioner has been cultivating relationships with her clients, fellow nutrition professionals, other holistic practitioners, and community. In this All About Alumni presentation we will learn more about the importance of these connections to Michelle’s success, her tips and suggestions for creating authentic and mutually beneficial partnerships and referral partners, as well as ways to reach out to our larger community.

Michelle Dwyer is a holistic health coach and certified nutrition consultant in Oakland, California. She has Master of Science degree in Health and Nutrition Education from Hawthorn University. Ms. Dwyer is a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals and is Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition® by the NANP. Michelle is also winner of “Best Nutritionist” 2016 in Oakland Magazine’s Best of Oakland and the East Bay Awards. Michelle’s role is to guide her clients on their journeys toward greater wellness, energy and vibrancy through a holistic approach. By looking at all aspects of health—body, mind and spirit—she empowers clients to create and maintain a lifestyle that nourishes the person through quality food, spiritual connections with self and others, moving the body, and self-love. Her areas of specialty include food allergies and sensitivities, plant-based eating plans, healthy weight loss, sugar cravings and blood sugar regulation, hormonal balance, and lifestyle management.  She works with clients both locally and across the country via Skype or phone.
