Congratulations to Rajesh Kumari for graduating Magna cum Laude from the Doctor of Science in Holistic Nutrition program. Rajesh is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who has worked in the field of nutrition in health care for the past twenty years. She received her Master’s of Science degree in Nutrition from CCS Haryana Agricultural University in India and then completed her dietetic internship and graduate training at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. Her studies and extensive clinical nutrition experience, primarily practicing medical nutrition therapy for the management of chronic conditions including stroke and other neurological conditions, sparked her interest in the pursuit of an advanced degree. Another motivation to advance in holistic nutrition was the experience and exposure to integrative and functional medicine grand rounds at Atlantic Health System, which focused on alternative and complementary therapies – particularly diet and lifestyle modifications for the treatment and prevention of various chronic conditions. As an advocate of nutrition for healing and wellness, Rajesh has implemented several programs in which she developed a nutritional support delivery guideline for nursing and also participated in a multidisciplinary team for nutrition management of trauma and critical care patients. Her dissertation is entitled Multimodal Dietary Treatment in Tourette’s Syndrome. Best of luck to you, Dr. Kumari!
