Kelly Amoroso is to be congratulated on her graduation from the Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition program with the Summa Cum Laude designation. Kelly also holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Monmouth University. She was introduction to the power of holistic nutrition when she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. She began to dive deeper into the root causes of the condition and learned that environmental, nutritional and lifestyle changes could have mitigated her risk of developing the disease, as well as help relieve her symptoms. When Kelly’s son developed food allergies, she was unsatisfied with the response of medical professionals who temporarily masked symptoms while not fully resolving the issues. These experiences ignited a passion in Kelly and she entered Hawthorn to gain knowledge to help others reach health goals. She believes in meeting a client where they are, working together as a team and being a resource and support throughout the healing process. Her thesis is entitled The Impact of Nutritional Intervention on the Growth and Development of Children with Food Allergies. Best of luck, Kelly!
