Our respective life journeys may take us on a variety of different paths over time. Hawthorn graduate Katie Lambert shares her journey from athlete to cook to graduating with a Masters of Traditional Nutrition…and beyond.

Originally from Louisiana, Katie Lambert moved to the Sierra Nevada in 2006 to pursue her career as a professional rock climber. Based out of Bishop, CA Lambert holds a Masters degree in Traditional Nutrition with a special interest in Type II Diabetes Prevention and is a Nutritional Counselor with her business High Sierra Nutritional Wellness (http://www.highsierranutritionalwellness.com). She also works with food and nutrition as head cook and holistic nutritionist for Sacred Rok, a youth focused non-profit based in Yosemite National Park. Her personal experiences with using food as medicine combined with her studies have provided Lambert with a wealth of knowledge on how to best nourish and heal the body with real, whole and traditional foods.
