In Search of the Right Ingredients for Nutritional Balance with Gail Kincaid (NC Graduate 2017)

After working for a major corporation for over 30 years, Gail Kincaid (Hawthorn NC program graduate 2017) decided to pursue her passion and return to school to study nutrition. Inspired by family members who suffer from chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, kidney failure, kidney disease, hypertension and heart disease, Gail started creating a cookbook, transforming traditional recipes to healthier ones.

However, Gail realized there was a major component missing in her knowledge. She did not have a clear understanding of what nutrition was. Putting the cookbook on hold, she enrolled in the Nutrition Consultant certificate program at Hawthorn University in 2014. What started out as wanting to gain the knowledge to understand the nutrition behind creating healthier dishes, evolved into Gail’s desire to change lives through healthy eating.
